How to mine with GPU

In my previous posts I have shown you how to mine with CPU:

Now I will show how to mine with your video card. If until now I used to mine with MinerGate for Linux, looks like their windows software has a big problem on the GPU mining side..so I searched and found this Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner.

After I tried to make a version of Claymore v10 or v11 to work, I let myself down and downloaded an older version, namely v9.6 BETA. If you succeed with newer versions ... it means that you are good, good for you!

By the way the versions can be found here: https://mega.nz/#F!e4JVEAIJ!l1iF4z10fMyJzY5-LnyC2A

I still will present version 9.6 BETA.

After you downloaded the files, put them where you want on the disk. Don't start yet! You will need a configuration file! This configuration file can be found on your MinerGate account? Don't have an MinerGate account? You can create one right here: LINK

Then you'll find an configuration file in this area: https://minergate.com/altminers/claymore-gpu

Let's assume that you want to mine Monero XMR with your GPU. The first step is to create .bat file (or just download from the given link) and put the file inside the Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.6 Beta directory then run it. An console will be opened and it will show you some details like:

Catalyst 15.x is REQUIRED for best performance and compatibility
At least 16 GB of Virtual Memory is required for multi-GPU systems
Make sure you defined GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
Be careful with overclocking, use default clocks for first tests

The .bat file should contain the following:

After the launch is ready, go to your console and press the button, some stats will be displayed, like this:

My GPU is AMD R7 360 v2 OC and it has 2GB memory, 128 bit, GDDR5. The hashrate depends on your configuration, my GPU works on 1223MHz GPU Clock and 7228 MHz Memory Clock, but I'm doing this just 4 fun you can buy other GPU wich are much , much stronger like GTX 1070 or RX 580 / 570 and with those you can get up to 30MH/s and not a lame 244h/s.

Be careful! Don't stress too much the GPU, you can broke it.
